You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every cut meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. With respect for ingredients and attention to detail, you help shape the authentic, fire-inspired dining experience that defines Uma Garden.
You Will
- Cut, trim, debone, and process meat into different cuts, mince meat, and prepare specialty products like sausages.
- Safely operate and maintain meat-cutting machinery, slicers, and other equipment.
- Ensure the work area is clean, sanitary, and compliant with all health and safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and store meat correctly.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent knife skills and the ability to use various cutting tools are essential.
- Thorough knowledge of animal anatomy, different cuts of meat, and preparation techniques is required.
- Familiarity with and ability to maintain and clean cutting and grinding equipment is important.
- A strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards is critical for all roles.
